Jesus, who did no sin, yet sheltered not his audience from the truth about themselves. John the Baptist began his ministry by calling his audience a “generation of vipers.” Lk 3:7 Who had the audacity to call the Pharisees hypocrites, snakes, wicked, adulterous, fools, blind guides, and murderers of the prophets? That’s right, it was Jesus Christ. Audacity as defined by Webster dictionary simply means: Fearlessly Bold and Rude Behavior.
